A motorcycle accident in Las Vegas resulted in the area’s 17th and 18th traffic fatalities in 2024. The fatal motorcycle accident occurred as a sedan was using a flashing yellow arrow to turn left from Rainbow Boulevard onto Spring Valley Parkway North.
While making the turn, a southbound motorcycle, moving at what police described as “an extremely high rate of speed,” hit the sedan on the passenger side. Both the motorcyclist and the passenger in the car were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the sedan, who was the husband of the passenger, was taken to the hospital and later released with only minor injuries. Following the accident, the LVMPD pleaded with motorcycle riders to slow down in hopes of saving lives.
