Personal Injury Notification Letter

Filing a Personal Injury Claim: The Prequel

The first step to filing a personal injury claim actually comes before you even file. Parties involved that have the smallest chance of being somewhat responsible for the accident have to be notified of the accident and the resulting injury you now have.  How you let the city, businesses, and people know this is through a personal notification letter. If it was an auto accident you’ll want to notify your insurance along with any other drivers’ insurances.

The personal notification letter will need to have different information depending on to whom you’re writing. Basic information will always include date, time, and location of then accident. Specified information for others such as insurance companies can include auto information and policy numbers. So, now that you have all the information gathered you need to group and appropriately organize it all. All this work and you haven’t yet even completed the preliminary step in filing a claim!

While many believe they can tackle the inevitable checklists all by themselves it may not be so simple and relaxing to others. And, that’s okay!
